From Research to Impact: EVELIXIA at the Energy Transition Workshop Smart Diaspora 2025

The Energy Transition Workshop Smart Diaspora 2025 took place in Cluj‑Napoca, Romania, from 4 to 7 November 2025, bringing together researchers and experts to discuss the role of academia and innovation in supporting energy transition and green cities. Organised under the Smart Diaspora initiative, the event fostered dialogue on decarbonisation, sustainability and European cooperation.
Within this framework, EVELIXIA was presented during the session “European Projects – UTCN”, highlighting research‑driven solutions developed at the Energy Transition Research Centre (EnTReC) of the Technical University of Cluj‑Napoca (UTCN). Prof. Dan D. Micu showcased EVELIXIA as part of a broader portfolio of EU‑funded projects translating research into real‑world impact for energy transition and decarbonisation.
The presentation emphasised EVELIXIA’s contribution to smart, efficient and interactive buildings, demonstrating how European research initiatives can deliver concrete and scalable solutions supporting climate‑neutral objectives. By participating in the workshop, EVELIXIA reaffirmed its commitment to bridging research and implementation and to strengthening knowledge exchange within the Smart Diaspora community.
