From 8–10 October 2025, EVELIXIA was proudly represented at Sustainable Places 2025 by the coordinator of the project, Stavros Koltsios (CERTH), and Igor Perevozchikov (R2M Solution France). The event provided a valuable platform to present the project’s key exploitable results and engage with the European smart building and urban regeneration community.

During the Smart Readiness Indicator (SRI) thematic track, Stavros Koltsios highlighted how EVELIXIA integrates the SRI framework and contributes to the ongoing development of innovative SRI tools. This presentation not only showcased the project’s achievements but also strengthened collaborations with sister projects, such as WeForming, and fostered new connections with other related initiatives in the field of smart and sustainable buildings.

In the SRI Tools Workshop, CERTH and R2M Solution demonstrated the SRI Advisor Tool, one of EVELIXIA’s flagship outputs. The session offered a detailed overview of the tool’s functionalities and allowed for a comparison of EVELIXIA’s approach with other LIFE project tools designed to assess and enhance smart readiness. The lively engagement and questions from participants underscored a strong interest in the innovative perspective offered by the SRI Advisor Tool.

Meanwhile, Igor Perevozchikov presented the SRI Methodology for Districts during the Neighborhood Regeneration 2.0 Workshop. His presentation provided an opportunity to discuss the technical and social challenges of applying the SRI framework at the district level. The workshop also facilitated exchanges on potential synergies with other European initiatives, including the Assessment Framework for Urban Regeneration (AFUR) developed within the REGEN Horizon Europe project, which adapts existing EU frameworks, such as LEVEL(s), for district-scale applications.
Participation in Sustainable Places 2025 allowed EVELIXIA to not only showcase its achievements but also to actively contribute to discussions on the future of smart and sustainable urban development. The event strengthened ties with existing partners, opened avenues for new collaborations, and provided valuable feedback from experts and practitioners across Europe.
